Magnum Arena consists of two independent game tracks with a total area of 1500 sq m. Everything takes place in a historic hall from 1910.
The facility has full sanitary facilities. We have all the necessary technical and safety documentation.
There is a completely free car parking right at the entrance to the building.
At your disposal are:
- Men’s and women’s toilets and showers
- Waiting room and a vending machine with snacks and drinks
- Locker room with uniforms, protective masks and gloves for renting
- Key lockers for personal stuff and valuables
- Armory with over 100 different rifle replicas to choose from. Two different power settings available: reduced or standard power.
- Two different game areas designed for specific scenarios. There’s also an ability to combine them and play on whole arena simultaneously.
- Party rooms for organization of company meetings, birthdays or stag parties
- Observation deck on the first floor for comfortable observation of the game.
- Full arena lighting with LED lamps, we also have the choice to play using flashlights with lights turned off
History of the ZNTK hall, which currently houses the Magnum Arena
The plant was established in 1910 as Eisenbahn-Hauptwerkstatt Danzig-Troyl (Main Railway Workshop Gdańsk-Trojan). The plant was equipped with the largest industrial halls in Gdańsk and Pomeranian voivodeship.
After the end of World War I, compliant to Article 107 of the Treaty of Versailles, in 1922 the plant and the former Imperial Shipyard in Gdańsk were transferred for 50 years free lease to the newly created international company: International Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd.
During World War II, the plants were managed by the German Reich Railways
After the liberation in 1945, the plant was called the Main PKP Railway Workshop Gdańsk-Trojan. From 1952 Railcar Repair Plant. At a period, the plant employed over 3,000 employees.
Interesting facts:
- in 1942–1945 german navy produced torpedo boat hulls in the building
- in 1958 dozens of buses for PKS were manufactured here, based on chassis with Leyland engines, they had bodywork and internal equipment taken from railcars.
- using jet engines from MiG aircraft, the plant made several dozen snow plows.
- for the needs of the emerging Fast Urban Railway (SKM) in the Tri-City, among others, ZNTK Gdańsk rebuilt Berliner S-Bahn wagons received as part of war compensation.
Nowadays:
Currently, the building is after a thorough and expensive renovation. Magnum Arena has been created in one separated part of the building as a place for ASG paintball games.
The building is under the care of a Gdansk historical building and monuments conservator.
The building has all required safety, building inspections and fire protection. Our staff is trained in first aid. There are two, according to DIN 13157 standard, first-aid kits on the site.
